Czech legal education suffers from exaggerated emphasis on theory and a lack focus on the ethical aspects of law.
To improve unsatisfactory situation, Pro Bono Aliance runs these activities:
1) Human Rights School
2) Cooperation with law teachers
3) Support to clinical legal education
Pro bono aliance’s primary goal is to make the Czech Republic’s legal instruments more effective in protecting human rights, public interests and important common values.
Pro bono aliance promotes increased access to legal help and socially responsible performance by legal professions.
To achieve its goals, PBA organizes educational events, supports the exchange of experience and information, cooperation between lawyers from NGOs and other legal professions, participates in legislative change , supports the activities of lawyers in other NGOs and spreads information about the protection of human rights.
