Legal Aid Information Centre

In 2009 Pro bono Aliance launched an internet portal www.potrebujipravnika.cz (I need a lawyer). The portal provides information to the public about where and in which form the public can access free legal aid.

In association with the portal Legal Aid Information Centre operated by Pro Bono Aliance provides advice through phone or email on accessibility of legal aid to about  300 inquiries from individuals and non-for-profit organizations every year.
 

 

Pro bono alince

Pro bono aliance’s primary goal is to make the Czech Republic’s legal instruments more effective in protecting human rights, public interests and important common values.

Pro bono aliance promotes increased access to legal help and socially responsible performance by legal professions.

To achieve its goals, PBA organizes educational events, supports the exchange of experience and information, cooperation between lawyers from NGOs and other legal professions, participates in legislative change , supports the activities of lawyers in other NGOs and spreads information about the protection of human rights.
